Endangered Plant life

jontarrian1

The Jacquemontia reclinata also known as beach cluster vine is native to southeast Florida . With a vine that grows 3 feet or more in length. This beautiful white flower is facing extinction. Why is that ? You might ask . And the reason behind the beach cluster vine dwindling numbers is loss of habitat to urbanization and beach erosion .

This plant has been on the endangered list since November 24, 1993. With more coastal habitats being loss to residential and commercial development the jacquemontia reclinata population seem to have a grim future.
